The best offsites mix focus with fresh air, and a lake house does both naturally. Spread out across big common areas for planning sessions, break into small groups on the deck or by the pool, then let the afternoon dissolve into pickleball tournaments, dock time, and the hot tub.

Russell Township gives the team a pool, hot tub, and pickleball court without leaving the property — easy for structured downtime between sessions. Sunrise Beach puts the group right on the water, with a private dock for swimming and fishing when the laptops close.

Sixteen beds means the whole team stays together, and booking direct means you're talking to your host — not a support queue — when you need to sort dates, arrivals, or details.

Staying longer than a weekend?

Some work doesn't fit in a long weekend. If your team or crew needs to be in the area for weeks at a time, our furnished monthly rentals are available on straightforward month-to-month leases.

In Kansas City, a furnished 3BR/1BA home in Kansas City rents for $2,750/month with utilities included, pets allowed, and a 30-night minimum. In West Plains, furnished 2BR units start with The Ayn at $1,850/month, utilities included, with a 1-month minimum — pet-friendly with a $50/month pet fee.

A few honest details for organizers.

These are vacation homes, not conference centers — great for team offsites built around togetherness, not for large formal events. Each house sleeps up to 16 registered overnight guests.

If your retreat includes daytime visitors, vendors, or activities beyond the overnight group, mention it when you inquire. Gatherings beyond registered guests require separate confirmation, and it's simplest to arrange ahead of time.
